For the Dough
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp Pure Kosher Sea Salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, cut into ½-inch pieces and chilled
  • ½ cup ice water 
For the Filling
  • ½ cup sliced almonds
  • 3 Tbsp sugar, divided
  • 2 Tbsp light brown sugar
  • ½ tsp Pure Kosher Sea Salt
  • 3 Tbsp unsalted butter, cut into ½ inch pieces, at room temperature
  • 1 large egg, at room temp
  • ½ tsp almond extract
  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 apples, such as Honeycrisp, cut into 1/8-inch thick slices
  • 1 egg, whisked
  • 1 Tbsp water
  • Salty Caramel Sauce
